What do I need to do to join Snohomish County ACS?
- Be an Amateur Radio Operator.
- Be able to pass a background check.
- Be approved by the Snohomish County Emergency Management Director and the ACS Radio Officer.
You must show that you have completed the state required Incident Command System courses IS-100 and IS-700 before being issued an ID Card. The ICS 200 course is recommended, but not required at this time.

How do I join Snohomish County ACS?
- Download the Snohomish County ACS:
- Complete the forms, print them out, and sign them. Attach a copy of your ICS certificates (showing that you have completed the classes).
- Mail the paperwork to the address on the application form.
After I join, what do I do?
- Check in on the Tuesday night net or even arrange to be the Net Control Station from time to time.
(20:00 hrs, on the Granite Falls repeater at 146.920, - (minus) offset, and a PL Tone of 123.0)
- Attend member meetings every third Thursday of the month at 19:00 hrs., held at the Department of Emergency Management Offices at Paine Field.
- Volunteer and participate in ACS events and activities. These are excellent training opportunities.
- Keep your "Go Kit" ready and radio programmed and batteries charged. For more information, see the section on Jump Kits on the Education page.
- In the event of an emergency or disaster, check into the Resource Net on the Granite Falls Repeater (repeater parameters are listed above).
